Applying a Linear Allowance Multiplier to an Assigned Feature

To apply a Linear Allowance multiplier to an assigned feature

The Linear Allowance box on the Feature Assignment Properties dialog box lets you specify a multiplier that reflects the extra linear material (such as conductor, conduit, pipe) that will be required for an assigned feature at a work span. Bentley OpenUtilities Designer increases the length of the calculated span by the multiplier that you specify. The resulting value will be used to calculate the quantity of span material for this facility and any associated units. Bentley OpenUtilities Designer derives the value for span length from the work span's xy coordinates unless you override this value (see Changing Lengths of Work Spans).
  1. From the list of work locations or facilities displayed in the Design Workspace, right-click the facility that requires adjustment and select Properties from the shortcut menu to open the Feature Assignment Properties dialog box.
  2. In the Linear Allowance box, type a value and click OK.
